Leslie Glasbeek MA, CIA, CFE, CRMA - Senior Auditor Coordinator, Office of the CIty Auditor
Leslie Glasbeek is a Senior Audit Coordinator with the Office of the City Auditor (OCA) for the City of Edmonton. She has been an internal auditor for 19 years and a fraud examiner for 11 years. Leslie’s educational background includes a Masters of Arts (honors degree) in Social and Economic History, and an undergraduate degree in Economics and Business Administration. She also is proficient in working with audit analytics software (ACL). Leslie is a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Fraud Examiner. She also holds the Certification in Risk Management Assurance. Prior to joining the City of Edmonton in 2007, Leslie worked as an internal auditor and management consultant for KPMG (Risk and Advisory Services) and the Dutch Federal Government. Leslie served on the Board of Directors for the Institute of Internal Auditors – Edmonton Chapter in various positions for 8 years, twice as the Chapter President. She was also co-chair of the 2017 IIA Canada National Conference held in Edmonton.
Allan Delgado - Litigation Counsel, CIty of Edmonton
Allan is a civil litigator called to the Alberta Bar in 2010. He articled and practiced at a national law firm before transitioning to the City of Edmonton. He maintains a broad civil litigation practice with an emphasis on large construction and contract disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency, and fraud litigation. Allan also has experience with public interest litigation involving extraordinary injunctive remedies from the Court related to large municipal infrastructure projects. Allan has also appeared before all levels of Court in the Province of Alberta. In his time with the City, he has also acted as a Legal Supervisor to the Civil Litigation practice group and has provided legal advice to City Administration leadership, and to City Council and its various Committees. Allan is also on the Executive of the Construction Law section of the Canadian Bar Association (Alberta North) and was previously Co-Chair of the Civil Litigation section.
